SCERT – AP : SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS (Do's and Don'ts)
● Visit the Secretariat in your ward or village and collect the information about the services provided to the peoples in tabular form.
● If you have attended any function during the summer days, describe in details what you liked about it.
● Briefly describe the health principles or health tips to be followed during summers to be beat summer heat.
● Write down the details of the books you read during the summer and the key information / message in them.
● Write a diary of what you did during the summer Holidays.
● Make a biographical book of your favorite scientist or national leader with your own word and photos.
● Draw portraits of five scientists/ national leaders of your choice.
● Visit the Primary Health Centre near you, consult a doctor and collect the information of the diseases treated in the hospitals in tabular form.
● Briefly describe the feeling you get when you look at the sky while sleeping outdoors.
● If there are any out of school children in your area or known to you who are absent from school, working in any shop or near home, collect the details of such children and find out the reasons why they drop out of school.
● Visit your nearest nursery and give the details of the plants there in the form of a book you have prepared.
● If you have visited any place/ region during summer, describe the specialty of that region in your own words.
● If you taken additional course during summer term, give the name of that course and full details of that course.
● Collection of details of charitable Trusts/ Organizations that conduct service programs in your area and their programs.
● Names of the group sports and activities that children play in summer.
● In your own words, how many of them have you participated in and what are the benefits of sports/ activities?
● Gather information about the types of crops grown in the soil where you living area and the resources they require.
● When you meet a freedom fighter near you or their descendants / Ex-Servicemen and share their experiences with you, explain the patriotism you feel.
● Briefly describe the points observed Naadu-NeduProgramme.
● Tell us about activities you follow during the summer to improve your handwriting.
● Organize a group book reading program with your friends at least once a week during summer.
● Visit any orphanage near you and know their condition there.
● Give details of any science related activities you have conducted during summer vacations.
● Try to keep a water bottle with you.
● Pour the water to the plants near you.
● Provide water to birds on the top of the home.
Don’t this :
● Do not go without parental help when visiting any place.
● Visit any place only when the sun is not intense.
● Take proper precautions depending on the place you are visiting.
● You should get your parent’s permission while using the internet to collect information.
● Don’t spend too much time outside in the sun.
● Take proper precautions while organizing group activities.
● Follow proper health tips/rules in view of summer season.
● Do not give rise to disputes.
● While going near Tanks, Wells and other water sources must accompany with your parents and elders.
● Don’t play with Fire and Electricity.
● During thundering stay in the home
● While using internet and social media websites and apps don’t chat with unknown peoples. If any such calls you may receive, inform to your parents or village police.
● Don’t click on unknown links in the mobile phones.
● Take care from insects like snakes and other poisons’ animals.
