  All  the  regional  joint  directors  and  district  educational  ofcers  in  the state  are  aware  that  the  summative  assessment  2  and  classroom-based assessment  3  will  be  completed  by  April  26,  2023,  for  classes  1  to  5,  and by  April  29,  2023,  for  classes  6  to  9,  across  the  state,  vide  reference  2 cited  above. In  this  regard,  it  has  been  decided  to  conduct  a  Mega  Parents  Meeting on  April  29,  2023,  in  all  schools  to  distribute  student  progress  cards  to parents.  Here  are  some  instructions  for  the  teachers  to  follow  when leading  the  parent  meeting. 

1. Ensure  that  the  event  is  organized  in  a  professional  and  organized manner.  This  includes  having  a  designated  area  for  parents  to collect  their  child's  progress  cards  and  a  separate  area  for  meeting with  teachers. 

2. Make  sure  that  you  have  reviewed  and  analysed  your  students' academic  performance  before  the  meeting.  This  will  enable  you  to provide  accurate  and  useful  feedback  to  parents  during  the  meeting. 

3. Make  sure  that  you  are  well-prepared  to  answer  any  questions  that parents  may  have  regarding  their  child's  academic  progress.  This includes  being  able  to  provide  details  on  their  child's  strengths  and weaknesses,  areas  where  improvement  is  needed,  and  strategies that can be employed to improve their academic performance. 

4.Follow the safety protocols that have been put in place for the event. This includes wearing a face mask at all times, maintaining social distancing, and ensuring that hand sanitizers are readily available for parents. 

5.Ensure that the meeting is conducted in a respectful and courteous manner. We understand that some parents may be anxious or concerned about their child's academic progress, and it is important that we provide them with a supportive and reassuring environment. 

6.Ensure that the meeting is done to facilitate the parents to help ther wards and give  effective suggestions to the parents to involve their children in useful summer vacation activities. 

7.The intention of the meeting is not be for fault fnding or blaming the children or parents for poor performance for the children. Also all the inspecting ofcers are requested to monitor the preparation of promotion lists, entry of marks in respective registers and portals.
