O R D E R:-
In the Letter 2nd read above, the Secretary, A.P. State Council of Higher Education has requested to issue necessary amendments to the G.O. 1st read above by deleting the words “Medical and Dental” wherever occurred in the said G.O. and also proposed to change the nomenclature of EAMCET as “EAPCET” (Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test).
2. The Government after careful examination of the matter hereby decided to amend the rules suitably.
3. Accordingly, the following Notification will be published in an ExtraOrdinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated 20.04.2021.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 3 and 15 of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983 (Act No.5 of 1983), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Common Entrance Test for entry into Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Medical and Dental Courses) Rules, 2011 issued in G.O.Ms.No.73, Higher Education (EC.2) Department, dated 28.07.2011, as subsequently amended from time to time:-
AMENDMENTS
In the said rules,-
(i) wherever the words “Medical and Dental” occurs shall be deleted
(ii) wherever the words “Medical (Including Dental Sciences)” shall be deleted
(iii) for the expression “Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test” the expression “Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test” shall be substituted
(iv) for the expression EAMCET / EAMCET-AC the expression EAPCET / EAPCET-AC shall be substituted
(v) In sub-rule (iv) of rule 2, the words “Medical, Dental” shall be deleted
(vi) In sub-rules (v) & (vi) of rule 2 the words “Medical (all systems of Medicine including Dental)” shall be deleted
(vii) the sub-rule (5) of rule 3 shall be deleted
(viii) the sub-rule (4) of rule 6 shall be deleted
