Subject: Instructions on use of Power Pack (Battery) in VVPATs-regarding
Sir/Madam,
I am directed to state that some instances of VVPAT Batter,v meltings came to the notice of the commission, following which the matter as referred to the Technical Expert Committee (TEC) for Root Cause analysis and guidance'
considering the recommendations of the Technical E'xpert committee' the commission has directed that after completion of poll. the Presiding officer shall remove the power pack (battery) from VVPAT in the presence of polling agents' only' after removal ofpower pack (battery) form VVPAT. the carrying case of VVPAT shall be sealed in the presence of Polling agents.
The above instruction shall be strictly followed and also brought to the notice of all concerned.
