ORDER:
The following notification shall be published in the Extra-ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazettee, dated: 04.12.2012.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 17 (1) of “The Commissions for the Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, the State Government hereby constitute the body known as the Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, to exercise the powers conferred upon and to perform the functions assigned to it. The State Commission will be located at Hyderabad.
2. The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights shall consist of a Chairperson and six members out of which atleast two shall be women.
3. The Chairperson and members of the Commission shall be appointed on the recommendation of a selection committee constituted by the State Government under the Chairmanship of the Minister in charge of Women and Child Welfare as per the criteria mentioned under Section 17 (2) of “The Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005.
4. The Commission shall, have the functions assigned to it under clauses (a) to (k) of sub-section (1) of section 13 with modifications as per section 24 of “The Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005”.
5. The rules for the A.P.State Commission for Protection of Child Rights will be issued separately.
