Attention of the Project Officers of APSSA, and DEOs of East Godavari, West Godavari, Prakasam, Nellore, and visakhapatnam is invited to the subject cited. They are informed that "Hygiene Education in Schools" is a part of the nation-wide project on hygiene supported by Reckitt Benckiser India (RB India), aimed at imparting hygiene habits in children of 10,000 schools over the next 4 years. This is an important part of their "DettolBanegaSwachh India" campaign - launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India - aimed at bringing behavioral change on hygiene among school children in India.
The project will include orientation to teachers in select schools, WASH kit to schools, teaching aids, games and material to help to keep the toilets clean. The core activity will start with the sensitization of the teachers on hygiene curriculum in schools with students, teachers based on a module developed. As a part of the project, each school will get hygiene support material free of cost.
