ORDER:-
Government have received several representations from managements of the existing Teacher Training Colleges in the State stating that they have provided necessary infrastructure and instructional facilities for enhancement of intake capacity and that there exists a huge demand for the B.Ed., course. The managements ,therefore ,have requested the Govt., to enhance the intake capacity of their colleges accordingly.
2. Government, after careful consideration of the matter , have decided that a District Level Sub-Committee be constituted to examine the requests for enhancement of intake in the existing Teacher Training Colleges and to submit its remarks to Government for taking a decision in the matter.
3. Accordingly the Government hereby constitute the District Level Sub-Committees in all the districts for the above purpose with the following members:-
i). Collector and District Magistrate …………… Chairman
ii). District Educational Officer ………. Member Convenor
iii).Principal,
District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) ..Member
iv). Zilla Parishad Educational Officer … Member
4. The above committee shall scrutinize all requests and inspect every college in time and submit its remarks to Government for taking a decision in the matter.
5. The NCTE Norms and Standards for Teacher Education Programmes and Regulations dated 21-8-2003, regarding enhancement of intake, are available in the website. www. ncte-in.org , which should be taken into consideration while examining the proposals.
