ABSTRACT
School Education – Implementation and funding of Jagananna Amma Vodi Programme
for the financial year 2020-21 by Andhra Pradesh State Development Corporation –
Orders – Issued.

ORDER:
In the reference 1st read above, Government have launched a programme
“JAGANANNA AMMA VODI” as part of “NAVARATNALU” for providing financial
assistance of Rs.15,000/- per annum to each mother or recognized guardian who is
below poverty line household and sending their children to schools /colleges i.e., from
Classes I to XII.
2. In the reference 4th read above, Government have issued orders that an amount
of Rs.1000/- from each beneficiary shall be deducted at source and credited to
District Toilet Maintenance Fund (DTMF) under the control of District Collector who
will then apportion to all Government/Aided School/College Committee accounts as
Toilet Maintenance Fund as stipulated under a SOP that will be issued by the School
Education Department.
3. In the reference 2nd read above, Government have established a dedicated
Corporation named “Andhra Pradesh State Development Corporation (APSDC)” as a
100% State owned Public Limited Company, with the mandate of planning, funding and
financing social and economic development projects and activities in the State of
Andhra Pradesh. Further, in the reference 2nd and 3rd read above, it is proposed that:
“The Government shall identify and entrust to the Corporation specific social & development projects and activities of the Government for funding & financing”
4. Further, the Government have assigned the responsibility of implementing and
funding of the Jagananna Ammavodi Programme to Andhra Pradesh State Development
Corporation Limited for the financial year 2020-21 vide reference 3rd read above.
5. The School Education Department, as a nodal authority for implementing
Jagananna Amma Vodi programme, has identified eligible beneficiaries Corporations
wise functioning under Social/Tribal/BC Welfare Department. The details are annexed
to this.
6. The VC & MD of APSDC is directed to take necessary action in the matter,
accordingly and arrange funding to the concerned welfare corporations for
disbursement of the funds to the beneficiaries.
