PENSIONS – Amendments to clauses (a) and (b) of sub-rule (10) of Rule 50 and sub-rule (3) of rule 59 of the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980- Orders - Issued.

O R D E R:
According to Rule 50(10) (a) and (b) of the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980, if the surviving child or children is/are eligible to draw the two family pensions at the rates admissible, the amount of both the pensions shall be limited to .1375/-. This limit was fixed at the time of framing the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980 when the maximum of the supertime scale was 2750/- (2500-125/2-2750) of Revised Pay Scales of 1978. The Government have issued G.O.Ms.No.143, Finance and Planning (FW.Pen.I) Department, dated.03.06.1995, enhancing the said limit to .5190/- being the 50% of the maximum of the Master Scales of .10,380/- in the Revised Pay Scales of 1993 duly amending the said sub-rules under rules 50 and 59 of Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980. Subsequently, keeping in view of the Revision of Pay Scales from time to time i.e., in the year 2005 the Government have enhanced the said monetary limit for two family pensions to the eligible child or children from .5,190/- to .15,383/- which is 50% of the maximum of Master Pay Scales in Revised Pay Scales 2005 i.e. .30,765/- vide G.O.(P) No.128 Finance (Pen.I) Department, dated.18.05.2006.
2. Government after careful examination of the matter and taking into account the maximum of the master scale of 55,660/- in the Revised Pay Scales of 2010 have decided to enhance the limit of two family pensions, in case of the children whose both parents expired while they were in service or after retirement to being the 50% of the maximum of the master scale.
3. Accordingly, the following amendments are hereby issued to Part-I and Part-II of the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980. The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

N O T I F I C A T I O N
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980.
These amendments, hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force with effect on and from 01-07-2008 with monetary benefit from 01-02-2010.
A M E N D M E N T S
In the said rules:-
[1] In rule 50, in sub rule (10) in clause (a), in subclause (i) and (ii) and in clause (b) for the words “Rupees Fifteen thousand, three hundred and eighty three per mensum”, the words “Rupees Twenty seven thousand, Eight hundred and thirty per mensum” shall be substituted.
[2] In rule 59, in sub rule (3) in clause (a), in subclause (i) and (ii) and in clause (b) for the words “Rupees Fifteen thousand, three hundred and eighty three per mensum, the words “Rupees Twenty seven thousand, Eight hundred and thirty per mensum” shall be substituted.
