School Education –COVID – 19 – Re-opening of Schools in a graded manner and Learning with Physical/Social Distancing for the academic year 2020-21 – Certain Instructions issued – Regarding.

The attention of the under mentioned officers is invited to the reference cited, wherein the Government have issued orders for reopening of schools from 2ndNovember, 2020 in a graded manner i.e., Classes – 9th to 12th from 2nd November, 2020, Classes – 6th to 8th from 23rd November, 2020 and Classes – 1st to 5th from 14th December, 2020 for all schools under all managements and informed that, the present scenario of conducting of online classes may be continued until resuming the regular classes for respective grades duly following the COVID-19 protocol.    Further, in the said G.O it is clearly mentioned that, all teachers should attend to the schools every day (i.e., Morning session - classroom instruction: Afternoon session - Online classes) and not more than 16 students shall be accommodated in a classroom ensuring at least 6 feet distance between students in the seating plan. It means more no.of sections have to be run for Classes 9th & 10th. In case, the existing teachers are not adequate, the head masters should utilize all the teachers in the High School to teach all the sections of Classes 9th and 10th. If the no.of teachers are not sufficient, then they may utilize the services of nearby Upper Primary teachers i.e Schools Assistants/Language Pandits upto 21st November, 2020 to teach the concerned subjects to the students of Classes 9th & 10th and Primary School Teachers i.e., Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) upto 10th December, 2020 for monitoring the exams, school activities, etc., until resumption of their respective schools as per the schedule given by the Government.

   In view of the above, all the under mentioned officers are requested to issue instructions to the field level functionaries with a request to utilize the services of nearby Upper Primary & Primary Schools teachers in coordination with the concerned Mandal Educational Officers in a efficient manner keeping in view of the guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) issued by the GoI and other departments
