Sub: Ordinary elections to MPTCS and ZPTCS - Poll is scheduled on 08.04.2021 - Application of indelible ink on the voter's left hand little finger - Orders - Issued.
Ref: APSEC Notification No. 1503/SEC-BI|2O21, dated 01.04.2021.
The State Election Commission issued Notification in the reference cited for conduct ofelections to MPTCs and ZPTCS in the State, which were stopped due to Covid outbreak on15.03.2020, The Poll is scheduled on 08.04.2021.
The Commission has recently conducted ordinary elections to Gram Panchayats coveringrural area of the entire State. The election process was completed on 21.02.2O2L. The indelibleink was applied on voter's left hand forefinger during the Gram Panchayat elections.
Normally, the indelible ink stain remains for 5 to 7 days on skin part and it may bevisible on nail till nail grows.
As the area covered by M PTCS / ZPTCS is same as that of Gram Panchayats, the StateElection Commission, hereby, orders that the indelible ink shall be applied on voter's left handlittle finoer in the Poll to be conducted for MPTCS / ZPTCS on 08.04.2021.
The Collectors & District Election Authorities shall give necessary instructions to all theReturning Officers / Presiding Officers and Other Polling Officers accordingly and wide publicityto this effect shall be given through print and electronic media locally.
