Many  educational institutions are being  setup  at the outskirts of  towns  & cities  which  are beyond  35 Kms. The  students studying in these  institutions are  not  eligible  for  concessional Student Pass under  35  Kms limit criteria. The  students have  to  depend on the  buses run by college  management or  group sharing autos for  their transportation needs incurring  huge  amounts besides threat  to their lives.

APSRTC  is estimating around 15,000  students will utilize  the  concessional travel  facility  beyond  35 Kms  &  upto  50  Kms.   The approximate cost  of concessions  to  be  extended  to  15000 students  works  out  to Rs.1.85Crs/Month and Rs. 18.50  Crs /  Annum.   However  APSRTC  will claim the  100% cost of  concession on actual sale  of Computerized  Bus Passes issued  to  Students.

3.        The  Vice  Chairman &  Managing  Director, APSRTC  has   requested the Governmejnt   to   issue  orders   to  extend concessional bus  pass facility  to the students  traveling  beyond  35 Kms  and  Up  to  50 Kms  and to claim 100% cost of concessions.
